In the Venn diagram of life, I occupy a spot at the somewhat sparsely-populated intersection of the circles labeled "people who do not eat meat because they think it's wrong to kill animals" and "people who don't eat in a particularly healthy fashion." So I was very excited to read today that White Castle is introducing vegetarian sliders. I have not eaten at a White Castle in probably thirty years, and I don't think that there's one within two hundred miles of my house. But I am nonetheless excited, both about the opportunity to expand my culinary horizons and at the growing acceptance of vegetarianism suggest by this development. Next time I travel, White Castle, you've earned yourself a new customer!
